Angel was from a litter of 8 Bloodhound puppies. Mikaela’s Mutt Motel was at capacity when we were informed of their dire situation so we began pulling the puppies 2 at a time and adopting them to loving homes as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, before we were able to pull all of the puppies, sweet Angel was shot and killed simply for being a playful puppy. The alleged shooter was arrested and charged with felony Aggravated Animal Cruelty and her case is still ongoing. We hope that justice will prevail for Angel and we will update her page as the case continues.
