Dutchess
433 day(s) at the Mutt Motel

Dutchess was being given away on Facebook with a MASSIVE mammary tumor (after being allowed to roam the streets for at least 2 months). She was frequently seen running loose with a t-shirt on, presumably to cover up the mass.
We knew we needed to take action to get Dutchess the care she needed. She ended up having 3 surgeries within a few short months. Her tumors were all malignant. At that time, we decided not to continue putting her through surgeries.
We took her to the oncology department of Nashville Veterinary Specialists and Animal Emergency to begin chemotherapy. Around this time, she received an adoption application. Her applicant was also a breast cancer survivor 🎀
Once we shared the news about her cancer, her applicant offered to be her long-term foster to give her the love and care that she deserves. They have been undergoing chemotherapy together 🥹
Sarah and her family have welcomed Dutchess, now Rosie, with open arms. They have even taken her to the beach twice already! ⛱️ We could not save dogs like Rosie without your support and amazing fosters like Sarah! Thank you!! 💗🐾
