Our dearest Regal crossed the Rainbow Bridge on August 27, 2025. Regal came to us as a victim of unethical backyard breeding, a life marred by suffering for someone else’s profit. Despite the odds, he showed us a spirit that was resilient and loving.

After he started showing signs of severe pain, we took Regal for X-rays. What we found was heartbreaking: his vertebrae were fusing, multiple joints were deformed, and his tendons were calcifying. The vet confirmed what we had feared— he would live his entire life in pain. We couldn’t stand by and watch him suffer, so we made the compassionate choice to help him find peace.

Regal’s life, though tragically short, was a powerful lesson in love, resilience, and the urgent need to end inhumane breeding practices. He was a beacon of light in our lives, and we will forever cherish the time we had with him. We send immense gratitude to his amazing foster dad, Austin. Regal knew true love because of YOU!
