Vlasic (Pickle Pups)
Vlasic, from the Pickle Pups litter, crossed Rainbow Bridge after a long battle with perinatal complications. The Pickle Pups were dumped in the woods and spent an unknown amount of time in the wild. When they were recovered they were all emaciated and none weighed more than two pounds. We bottle-fed, syringe-fed, and even supplied subcutaneous fluids to the weaker pups in the litter. Unfortunately, between the emaciation, a significant amount of roundworms, and a case of coccidia, we were ultimately unable to bring Vlasic to a complete recovery. She was overcome by septic shock. She weighed just 1.5 pounds when we said good-bye.
Our immeasurable gratitude is extended to our Director of Veterinary Health & Safety Dr. Sarah Hill, Animal Hospital, and all of our donors, supporters, and followers. Without these people, none of the Pickle Pups would’ve survived.
We will continue driving our Mission in honor of Vlasic and every other Memorial Mutt.
We love you, Vlasic!
